Upon completing the paperwork we were then informed that although the room was empty, it was not ready to be occupied. Upon checking we were informed that the Spa Tower Grand Suite was not available, but the executive suite was available for a $40/night fee. Next we went to the front desk for our check-in and were greeted by Shauna.
He did a great job greeting us and sending us in the right direction. On Monday June 13th we arrived at GVR, and were promptly greeted by Mike at the hotel valet. Excited we quickly responded to the offer, understanding that there was a chance GVR might not have the rooms available. We each received an email asking us if we would like to upgrade to the Spa Tower Grand Suites for a nominal fee, ($100 each night). My wife and I had two nights free through the MyVegas Rewards. This staycation we experienced a check-in second to worst of our experiences. Since 2006 we have lived here and have enjoyed ten years of stay-cations at many properties throughout the valley. We have been coming to Las Vegas since 1989 and have had many experiences both good and bad. My wife and I just returned from our stay-cation at Green Valley Ranch (GVR) and I felt compelled to write to you regarding our experience. Will not recommend this property to any locals or out-of towners we know. I attached the letter I wrote to the Director of Operations over a week ago, and have not even heard an acknowledgement back from him, VERY DISAPPOINTED.
